Carlos Eduardo Soares de Seixas holds a PhD in Economics (2016) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (2010), both from the Faculty of Economics, University of Porto.
He is an Assistant Professor and Researcher in the Department of Economics and Business Sciences at Universidade Portucalense Infante D. Henrique and an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Aveiro.
His scientific output includes 9 peer-reviewed journal articles. He has supervised one PhD thesis and seven Master's dissertations, co-supervised nine postgraduate theses, received three academic awards, and is currently involved in three research projects. He also participated in a research project as a PhD Student Fellow.
His research lies at the intersection of Economics and Political Science, with a particular focus on Public Choice. His main research topics include political institutions, ministers' tenure and re-selection, political careers, lobbying, campaign advertising, risk attitudes and risk-taking behaviour, behavioural research, survey measurement, and the circular economy.
