Catarina Gomes holds a PhD in Human Resources Management and Development from ISCTE Business School and a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon.
She is an Associate Professor at Universidade Lusófona and an Invited Associate Professor at the Instituto Superior Miguel Torga.
Her scientific output includes 18 peer-reviewed journal articles and three book chapters. She has supervised five Master's dissertations and co-supervised two, received seven academic awards, and has participated as a researcher in one research project. Throughout her academic career, she has collaborated with 49 co-authors in scientific publications.
Her main research topics include human resource management, career management, organisational change, self-leadership, leadership, creativity, innovation, talent management, work engagement, emotional labour, organisational commitment, international mobility, expatriation, organisational performance, team performance, complex adaptive systems, performance appraisal, public administration, ethics, gender equality, non-technical skills, decision-making, situational awareness, and knowledge management.
