Lígia Nascimento is Assistant Professor at ISMAT – Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes (Ensino Lusófona) and a researcher at INTREPID Lab – Research for Business and Society and COMEGI – Center for Research in Organizations, Markets and Industrial Management, Universidade Lusíada. She also collaborates with CETRAD – Centre for Transdisciplinary Development Studies at Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.
She holds a PhD in Management from Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa, a Master’s degree in Work, Human Resources and Organizational Psychology, and a pre-Bologna five-year degree in Psychology from Universidade de Lisboa. Her academic background combines Management, Psychology and Human Resources, supported by more than three decades of professional experience as a Human Resources Director and Consultant in national and international organisations across several sectors, including information and communication technologies, food and beverage, automotive, engineering consultancy and human resource consultancy.
Her research focuses on Human Resource Management, Sustainable Human Resource Management, Organizational Behaviour and Digital Transformation, with particular interest in technostress, techno-eustress, workplace well-being and the relationship between technology and organisational life. Her work explores how digital transformation influences employees, organisations and management practices, including the development and validation of instruments for assessing techno-eustress, flexible coping with technostress and IT mindfulness.
Lígia Nascimento has contributed to scientific research through publications and collaborations in the fields of Human Resources and organisational studies. She regularly participates as a reviewer for international journals and conferences related to Information Systems and Management, and develops initiatives connecting academic knowledge with professional practice in Human Resources. She is also a full member of the Portuguese Psychologists’ Association (Ordem dos Psicólogos Portugueses).
