Maria Isabel Alves Duarte is Associate Professor at Universidade Lusófona and Head of the Degree in Human Resources Management at the School of Economic Sciences and Organizations. She holds a PhD in Development Sociology from Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, completed in 1993.
Her academic career has been developed within the fields of Social Sciences, Management and Human Resources, combining teaching responsibilities with the coordination of higher education programmes. As Head of the Degree in Human Resources Management, she contributes to the development and management of academic training in this area.
Her research interests are centred on Human Resources Management, Development Sociology and Social Sciences, with a focus on understanding organisational and societal dynamics related to people, work and development processes.
Through her academic activity at Universidade Lusófona, Maria Isabel Alves Duarte contributes to education and research in areas connecting social analysis, organisational practices and human resource development.
