Nazaré Soares Marques is Visiting Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário Lisboa, School of Economic Sciences and Organizations (ECEO) and a researcher at INTREPID Lab – Research for Business and Society. She holds a PhD in Social Sciences, with a specialization in Organizational Behaviour, from ISCSP – Institute of Social and Political Sciences, University of Lisbon, and has an academic background in Law and Human Resources Management, complemented by several specializations in Human Resources.
With more than 35 years of professional experience in multinational advanced technology companies within the automotive industry, Nazaré Soares Marques has developed an extensive career in Human Resources management at national and international levels. Her professional experience includes strategic human resources management in Europe and Africa, including emerging markets, as well as the design and implementation of policies, processes and systems for organisational development.
Throughout her career, she has been involved in complex organisational contexts, including mergers, industrial unit openings and closures, restructuring processes and international assignments. Her experience includes expatriation roles, namely in Botswana and Romania, where she was responsible for implementing and managing Human Resources and mentoring processes in multicultural environments.
Her research focuses on Human Resources Management, Organizational Behaviour and Professional Development, with particular interest in soft skills, career development, professional well-being, emotional labour, international mobility, expatriation, identity and acculturation processes. Her work explores the relationship between individuals, organisations and changing professional contexts, integrating perspectives from Human Resources and organisational studies.
Nazaré Soares Marques has published articles in specialised journals and contributed to scientific collaborations in the field of Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour, combining academic research with extensive professional experience in international organisational environments.
