Victor Moutinho is Associate Invited Professor at Universidade Lusófona in Lisbon and a researcher at INTREPID Lab – Research for Business and Society. He is also Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Economics of the University of Beira Interior, where he serves as Director of the Master’s Degree in Economics. He holds a PhD in Energy Systems and Climate Change from the University of Aveiro, a Master’s degree in Finance from Universidade Portucalense, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto.
His academic and research activity is centred on the relationship between economics, energy systems and sustainability, combining quantitative approaches with the analysis of economic and environmental challenges. His research focuses on Energy Economics, Environmental Economics and Sustainability, with particular interest in energy policy, economic growth, financial economics, natural resources economics and the transition towards sustainable development.
Victor Moutinho has published scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals and has participated in international conferences and research projects. His work contributes to the understanding of economic and policy dimensions associated with energy systems, climate change and sustainable development.
He is also involved in the international scientific community as Associate Editor of Environmental Development and Sustainability (Springer), Academic Editor for PLOS ONE and Energies (MDPI), and member of professional organisations including the International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) and the Portuguese Association of Energy Economics (APEEN).
