PhD in Energy Systems and Climate Change from the University of Aveiro. Since 01 September 2024 he is a Associate Invited Professor at Lusofona University Lisbon and since October 2019 he is a Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Economics of the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. He holds a BSc in Economics from Faculty of Economy of Porto and MSc in Finance (University Portucalense of Porto, Portugal) . Since December 2021 he is Director of the Master in Economics at University of Beira Interior (UBI) . During 3 years he is Coordinator of Economics and Finance and Full Researcher at NECE- Research Center in Business Sciences at the UBI. He has published articles in peer-reviewed journals on energy economics and policy and has participated in several conferences and international projets. Its areas of interest are Economic Growth, Financial Economics, Energy Economics, Environmental and Natural Resources Economics, Energy Policy, Development and Sustainability .He has a Associate Editor at Environmental Development and Sustainability (Springer). Academic Editor at PLOS ONE and Academic Editor at Energies-MPDI. He is a Member of IAEE (International Association of Economists of Energy) and Member of APEEN -Portuguese Association of Energy Economics.
