Teresa Candeias is Assistant Professor at Universidade Lusófona – Centro Universitário do Porto and Coordinator of the Bachelor’s Degree in Management. She is a researcher at INTREPID Lab – Research for Business and Society, a branch of CETRAD – Centre for Transdisciplinary Studies for Development.
She holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, a Master’s degree in Finance from Portucalense University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business and Administration from Universidade Católica Portuguesa in Porto. Her academic background combines Management and Finance, supported by professional experience as a manager and consultant.
Before dedicating herself to higher education and research, Teresa Candeias also served as a member of the Portuguese Parliament, bringing experience from the public sector and institutional decision-making contexts into her academic and professional trajectory.
Her research focuses on Management, Finance and Organizational Development, with an interdisciplinary approach connecting business practices, institutions and societal challenges. Through her teaching, research and professional experience, she contributes to the understanding of management processes and their impact on organisations and society.

Objectives: The project aims to develop and improve competences and skills in higher education students in the field the digital and green transition faced by the European economies, focusing on the sports domain. The project looks to develop a challenge- based approach that connects the education activities in participant HEIs with the needs and challenges of the stakeholders, fostering engagement, doing so in a multidisciplinary and multicultural way, strengthening the students’ knowledge and abilities.
